- To advise and assist in irrigation rehabilitation programs / projects.
- To assist in establishment of an irrigation research unit.
- To promote and assist on farm irrigation water management and community based water harvesting projects.
- To facilitate and assist the extension of irrigated areas by undertaking small to medium irrigation projects.
- To promote new and appropriate irrigation technologies through extension services.
- To assist in the development, monitoring and evaluation of irrigation rehabilitation construction works.
- To coach / mentor and provide on job trainings to related staff.
