- Installing new software
- Installing new hardware (servers, printers, computer workstations, etc.)
- Setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
- Overseeing security of all systems, especially the internet, and installing antivirus protection

- Technical support for people using the network

- Day to day admin and monitoring of network use
- Planning future improvements, suggesting IT solutions to business problems
- Making sure all IT meets industry standards
- Perform Linux OS and ESXIs installations, maintenance, and all the backups and recovery for the hosted Linux environment.
- Database installation and maintenance include MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and PostgreSQL.
- Conducting day-to-day remote administration of Linux environment that includes server maintenance, patching, administration & documentation.
- Manage and maintain the Monitoring Systems (these report on the status and performance of network, servers, and services).
- Managing server alerts and doing root cause analysis.
- Fault handling and escalation (identifying and responding to faults on the systems and networks, handling escalation through to resolution).
- Provide technical support to development and operation teams.
Basic Requirements:
- Good academic background with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering/ IT.
- Basic knowledge of the OSI model, switching and internet routing technologies.
- Knowledge of Linux kernel, command line, and system diagnostics.
- Basic understanding of network monitoring concepts and management tools (PRTG, RRD, NAGIOS, SNMP).
- Ability to work in shift roaster.
- Capable of multi-tasking, good time management, and prioritization of workload.
- Keen to be involved in a wide variety of services.
- Willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Good self-awareness. Actively seeks out tasks that help develop skills and knowledge.
- Ability to work on own initiative. Actively seeks ways of improving existing systems and processes.

Preferred Skills:
- CCNA certified or at least training.
- MCSE certified or at least training.
- RHCSE certified or at least training.
- More than 1 year Work experience in production environment.
