- Install, maintain, and upgrade servers such as Windows servers 2019 and other operating systems
- Maintain current baseline configurations on all Windows server 2019 operating systems, and coordinate and document exceptions to baselines where necessary.
- Maintains CIS Level I Windows Server image, fine-tunes configurations as needed.
- Conducts complex troubleshooting and repairs AD/DNS/DHCP/Print/File and other Server Roles withing Windows Server 2019 architecture.
- Administers Users, Group and Computer objects and create Group Policy using Group Policy Management Console.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and COTS applications to ensure their ongoing availability, stability, and compliance with standards and security requirements
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and deploy Intune for Azure cloud management.
- Support and maintain the virtual environment (Hyper-V).
- Provide support for Cloud computing environments, including AWS and Azure
- Strong understanding of Windows 10 technologies, security practices and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans for servers.
- Employ patch management and deployment mechanisms for all IT infrastructure, utilizing SCCM and WSUS. Including patch analysis, test, approval, and deployment.
- Administer Storage Area Network (SAN), troubleshoot SAN problems that affect storage and backup systems.
- Setup and monitor of new backup jobs utilizing Veeam.
- Handle escalated requests from Service Desk and assist accordingly.
- Basic understanding of Applications architecture.
- Good understanding of SQL server installation, database security and connectivity.
- Maintains agency’s security posture and recommends next steps to improve current security conditions.
- Strong experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans for servers.
- Ability to create scripts in various languages, and create automation to speed repetitive tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Required (Minimum) Qualifications Education, Certification, Experience, and Skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent post high school education, military and/or work-related experience
- Minimum of 7+ years of Server IT support/administration experience.
- Strong customer relations

- Ability to understand and troubleshoot technical problems
- Heavy Active Directory and Directory Services knowledge necessary
- Working experience of lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
- PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft Windows Server (2012 & up)
- Microsoft Internet Information Services
- Server administration skills equivalent to or including Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- File and Print services Preferred Qualifications Education, Certification, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred.
