Systems Limited looking forward to hire ‘Resident Engineers’ for Islamabad office in Infrastructure Planning department, having 3 to 5 years’ experience. The resources should have expertise in VMware / RedHat Linux / AWS. Resident Engineers are 'hands-on’, providing operational support services that empower our customers to get the very best from our industry-leading products. You will apply your technical knowledge to optimize customer networks, proactively mitigate risks, test & deploy new software and hardware, and delve into hot issues.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible end to end Infra deployment in Datacenter, and handed over to infra operations.
2. TCO calculation/creation for new infra requirement for UD.
3. Coordination with different stakeholders whether it’s from TP or others vendors.
4. Planning and designing every new project and take lead to finalize the requirement and design for further implantation as per locked scope.
5. Redhat environment readiness (Virtual and physical).
6. VMware vCenter administration, as following.
a. Physical hypervisor readiness
b. VMs provisioning, configuration, OS patching, OS hardening, Security tools installation, users’ creation and integration (Both Redhat and Windows) using Ansible automation.
c. Network ports configuration
d. Zoning of storage ports
e. Addition of servers in storage host groups.
f. Addition of servers in vCenter compute cluster.
7. Huawei Dorado 8000 and 6000 v6 storage’s administration.
8. AWS administrations, as following
a. Launch new instances
b. OS hardening and patching,
c. Security groups modification
d. VPC creation
e. Creation of Subnets, CIDR, Nat gateway and other services
f. VPN configurations
g. RDS DB services enablement
9. Actively involved in every major activity with infra operation to get it executed, successfully and smoothly.
