Manager QEC

We are looking for a skilled & proactive Manager QEC. The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable and willing to contribute to make SZABIST a better place to work. He/She should be highly efficient, organized and approachable.

Manager QEC is to lead and manage the department of QEC in collaboration with all stakeholders including the head office and accreditation bodies. The ideal candidate must be proficient to spearhead the department by demonstrating requisite skill and abilities. The manager must have the working philosophy of Kaizen. Due diligence and working under pressure are the hallmarks of the job. The main responsibilities of the manager QEC will be focused on Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement through systematic and unified approach to ensure Quality Standards. Will also be responsible to liaise with regulatory bodies including HEC, NBEAC, and NCEAC, international accreditation bodies and others. A candidate well versed with Academics standards, and international quality standards including ISO will be preffered.

Duties and Responsibilities

To ensure implementation of Policy Framework.
Responsible for defining clear and explicit standards as point of reference to the reviews to be carried out.
Implement qualification framework, defining the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of the qualification.
Develop program specifications through respective HODs and statutory bodies.
Develop QA processes and methods of evaluations and ensure that they are in sync with HEI standards
Management of all aspects of the Self-Assessment of academic programs, review of quality standards, teaching and learning in each subject area.
SAR Initiation, SAR Review, SAR Finalization, SAR activities coordination, SAR implementation plan completion.
Review of academic affiliations with other institutions for effective management of standards and quality of programs.
Management of MS and PhD Programs Reviews, Documentation Preparation, Facilitate HEC internal and external reviews, Coordinate program review activities
Management of Accreditation process.
Ensure capacity building /trainings of QEC staff.
Management of preparation of descriptive briefs, other activities.
Supervision of Documentation Management activity performed by QEC Staff including minutes of meetings/program folders/policies/procedure/other official documents etc.
Update academic standards, SOPs, handbooks etc.
Supervise and manage surveys and data analytical activities (faculty survey/faculty course review report etc)
Supervision of maintenance of QEC related internal documented information
Any other task assigned by the Management
