We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Travel Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling mature travel leads, proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and in-depth knowledge of international visa requirements. This role demands a customer-focused mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to craft personalized travel experiences that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound travel inquiries from mature leads with professionalism and efficiency
- Use GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) to book flights, hotels, and travel packages
- Advise clients on visa requirements, documentation, and embassy procedures for various countries
- Customize travel itineraries based on client preferences, budgets, and travel goals
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline policies, travel advisories, and destination trends
- Provide post-booking support including changes, cancellations, and emergency assistance
- Upsell travel insurance, tours, and ancillary services to enhance client experience
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client communications
- Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent service and follow-up
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in travel consultancy or a related field
- Proficiency in GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo preferred)
- Strong understanding of visa processes for major travel destinations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and client profiles simultaneously
- Strong sales acumen and customer service orientation
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
