Careem is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner for a six-month contract based in Karachi, Pakistan. This role is critical in sourcing and hiring exceptional technical talent for the rapidly expanding Data & AI and Engineering teams. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to develop strategic talent pipelines and deliver outstanding hiring experiences in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Be a Trusted Partner: Work in close collaboration with Engineering and Data & AI leadership to fully understand their strategic goals, anticipate upcoming hiring needs, and co-create effective talent acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives.
Demonstrate Sourcing Excellence: Proactively identify and engage top-tier technical candidates, nurturing pipelines to meet current and future hiring demands. Provide competitor intelligence and market benchmarks to guide recruitment decisions.
Recruit Across Critical Roles: Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for vital technical positions such as Backend and Mobile Engineers, Data Scientists, and other specialized roles across multiple markets including the UAE, Pakistan, Egypt, and Jordan.
Shape the Candidate Journey: Ensure a smooth and positive experience for candidates by setting clear expectations and maintaining timely, transparent communication throughout the recruitment process. Manage all stages from sourcing and screening to scheduling interviews and handling offer negotiations.
Stay Agile and Data-Driven: Regularly update stakeholders with insights, market trends, and recruitment progress. Track key metrics such as pipeline health and time-to-fill to continuously refine hiring strategies.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, with a strong emphasis on technical recruiting within Engineering, Data Science, and Data Analytics domains.
- Demonstrated success working in fast-paced environments such as startups, scale-ups, or rapidly growing technology companies.
- Proficiency in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management, with hands-on experience using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, provide constructive feedback, and drive recruitment outcomes.
- A proactive and creative problem solver who thrives in ambiguous situations and is motivated by contributing to large-scale organizational growth.
