Job Title: Android Developer
Location: Blue Area, Islamabad
Client: Our Client is a startup in the Entertainment space, working on an Android application promoting entertainment.
Job Purpose: To design, develop, maintain and grow our Client’s app for Android devices, and to work with all stakeholders and implement their feedback in order to create the best user experience for the Client’s customers. This position will form part of our Client’s core development team. The developer will implement the entire lifecycle of the app for the Android platform. To function as part of the Client’s team, and to help the Client achieve their goals.

Development Team: The development team shall initially consist of the Android Developer and the CTO, and will expand to fill more Android developers and Web developers over the next few months.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leading the development of our Client’s app for the Android platform
Working closely with Android and web developers on the team to ensure a seamless experience across all platforms
Working closely with designers to achieve the best experience design
Working with the Founding team of the Client to implement their vision for the app
To ensure timely achievement of development goals.
Enforce and improve software development best practices
To recommend new features and ideas that may be implemented in the apps
To test and deploy the app
Skills and Experience
Strong Android development experience
Strong sense of UX principles and deep understanding of Google’s Material Design Guidelines
Familiarity with the use of Android development and deployment tools
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
Strong understanding of Unit Tests and Test Driven Development
Strong Communication Skills
Experience with Git
Experience with web service integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong coding ethics
Additional Desirable Skills
Familiarity with MBaaSs such as Firebase
Familiarity with tools/platforms such as Docker, Jenkins, Codeship etc
