Essential Duties and responsibilities:
The Facility Manager should have sound management and administration experience and shall report to the NIC Director. The following are the main duties and skill sets required for the position;
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to mobilize people and plan the activities in advance. Knowledge of building maintenance procedures, environment, health and safety. Strong management and administration skills along with awareness of latest trends and processes. In addition, the person should have knowledge of procurement and basic human resource functions.
Work Experience Requirements:
8 or more years of experience in Management/Lead role especially working closely in incubation/educational institution or in donor funded project which works for startups.
Compensation: Position starting at xxx PKR annually Work Hours: ¾ Time – 35 hours per week, with health and other benefits. Candidate must have a flexible schedule.
Bachelors or Master degree with relevant experience in facilities management
Managing and liaising with the contracting staff and permanent employees;
Overall facility security management including guards, duty roster and allied activities;
Management of administrative staff for the facility;
Repair and Maintenance of building infrastructure;
Managing the Environment, health & safety of the premises;
Contract management with vendors and associated staff for delivery of services and goods;
Managing the utilities and communications infrastructure;
Planning for space and resource allocation in order to sustain effective operations;
Coordinating with staff to provide services as per their requirements;
Event coordination with suppliers, customers and other internal/external stakeholders;
Providing first aid assistance to staff and contacting the emergency services in case of any assistance;
Coordinating with Government authorities including NITB management/staff for the smooth operation of premises;
Management, Administration and coordination for all resources associated with facility, security, cafeteria and administrative staff;
Review of the existing infrastructure and processes for necessary improvement
Optimum space utilization and reduction of carbon foot print through efficient management of resources;
Coordination with Finance Team for invoice generation and billing collection against the usage of NIC facilities;
Coordination with Finance for payment of utilities and bills related to NIC;
Waste management, parking maintenance and building areas;
Management of office systems and associated infrastructure;
Technical Knowledge of Building management, services and infrastructure including Elecrtical, Civil and Mechanical Works;
Strong communication, inter-personal and reporting skills;
Ability to handle pressure and customer requirements in order make to quick decisions;
Problem solving, budgeting and general management skills.
