Essential Duties and responsibilities:
The Business Incubator Program Manager is a unique position that requires the attention and oversight of an individual who has small business and/or program development experience. The Program Manager will report to the NIC Director on a regular basis. The following are the main duties and skill sets required for the position;
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to mobilize people and plan the activities in advance. Basic small business coaching and business plan oversight. Develop and maintain collaborations with partnering agencies, Schedule monthly startup hunt recruit trainers, organize events for startups and incubation team.
Work Experience Requirements:
5 or more years of experience in Management/Lead role especially working closely in incubation/educational institution or in donor funded project which works for startups.
Job Description:

Bachelors with post qualification experience in startup ecosystem preferably Masters in Business Administration/ Project Management. PMP preferred. Hands on experience, MS project Primavera.

Manage Stakeholders - ICT - Jazz - Advisors - Mentors - Investors - Startups and other relevant stakeholders. And coordinate the development, evaluation and implementation of program goals, objectives and startup activities as outlined.

Manage partnership along with mentoring sessions, curriculum delivery including startup induction, onboarding and planning & graduation.

Expertise to plan and run multiple programs inside incubation as well as regularly monitor & evaluate KPIs of startups.

Keep track of project baseline with actual project deliverables, timely escalation of road blocks with proposed solutions to the Project Director. Think critically and objectively to manage and implement change. Maintains cost/ schedule variance (CPI/SPI)

Project Management Tool, involves in-depth planning of ever basic project, provide support in driving progress and results through a number of continuous improvement work-streams.

Research, plan and coordinate for developing and expanding entrepreneurial businesses and undertaking data compiling and analysis.

Recognise the importance of staff engagement and participate/facilitate workshops that will drive service improvement.

Leading entrepreneurial education programs in order to bridge the gap for the startup requirements for their overall expansion.

Have strong interpersonal skills - strong communication and being persuasive when needed to support our desired behaviour and culture change.

Identify, cultivate and solicit support of local incentive agreements which would benefit the startups for achieving their KPIs.

Coordinate the development, evaluation and implementation of program goals, objectives and startup activities as outlined by the IGNITE, JAZZ & Teamup board of management.

Represent NIC at various National and International events/seminars and Research international best practices for incubation & acceleration.

Program budgeting specific to domain of activity and its review for implementation/resource allocation.

Reporting and documentation development related to program and as required by the IGNITE/ICT R&D Fund with relevance to the RFP of NIC Project.

Understanding the requirements of the startup in order to bridge gaps as well ways and means for the successful achievement of their KPIs as well as building a close relationship with their assigned mentors.

Develop and maintain relationships with investors, government bodies and other relevant stakeholders in order to define a working relationship.

Team player, strong interpersonal, communication and organisation skills, comfortable with using technology.

The person should be able to thrive in a fast paced dynamic startup environment with the ability to work alone or in a team.
