Skillset:
· Red Hat Certified Administrator is mandatory
· Extensive knowledge and experience of following is a must: (RHEL 6.x, 7.x, Debian, CentOS 7.x, Ubuntu, SUN Solaris)
· Must have deployment experience in a large enterprise environment (both bare metal and virtualized platform).
· Must have hands-on experience in deploying and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux Clusters. It could be 2 or more than 2 nodes cluster.
· Must have hands-on experience in deploying and configuring Red Hat resilient storage (Global File System – GFS).
· Must have knowledge and deployment experience of security hardening of baseline RHEL operating system.
· Must have hands-on experience in configuring a file system (EXT3/4, XFS, samba shares, NFS)
· Must have hands-on experience in configuring creating a file system and logical volumes (LVM) with block storage.
· Must have hands-on experience in deploying Red Hat Satellite for centralized updates management of Red Hat platform.
· Must have hands-on experience in configuring backup technologies at OS level. Having EMC data domain and Networker backup solution deployed.
· Must be familiar with information security standards i.e. ISO/IEC 27001.
· Must have the knowledge and hands-on experience in configuring and deploying monitoring agents. Especially HP OVO monitoring solution.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and coordinate with vendor(s) & internal teams for the hardware installations.
· Provide L1 & L2 support to all the system including bare metal and virtual servers.
· Provide L1 & L2 support to operating systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, HPUX, SUN Solaris.
· Provide L1 & L2 support to multivendor hardware environment.
· Keep tracking daily SLA reports shared by Infrastructure Operations vendors.
· Ensure infrastructure uptime agreed with business.
· Provide support to internal stakeholders for technical operational issues & coordinate with Infrastructure Operations vendors for permanent resolution.
· Write technical documents for large-scale procurements & IT Infrastructure Projects.
· Participate in the technical evaluation of security, compliance to policies and privacy of services.
· Ensure regular security and update patches on the operating system.
· Provide support to Information Security Auditor for bi-annual security audits.
