Senior Business Development Manager or Director will be responsible for all cradle-to-grave business development processes to include development, generation and closure of new business opportunities. Main responsibilities include seeking and acquiring new projects and opportunities, developing, coordinating and implementing marketing plans and activities designed to maintain and increase existing business, and managing opportunities pipeline, this position must be able to actively lead the business development function in an effective and aggressive manner. The position requires the individual to effectively perform and manage the following functions:

Requirement

  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team
  • Assist with setting the company’s strategic marketing and business development direction
  • Coordinate, Manage and Attend conferences, meetings, trade shows and industry events
  • Responsible for the identification, evaluation, cultivation and capture of new businesses
  • Define strategies to achieve annual sales goals and follow defined strategies to achieve set sales strategies
  • Revenue generation and strategic partnerships development and management
  • Lead generation, follow-up and closure
  • Maintains status of Business Development opportunities and forecasts.
  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Conduct sales and marketing strategies as a means to develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct and deliver sales presentations and participate in sales meetings with business leads
  • Manage and coordinate social media and other marketing campaigns and establishes advertising campaigns
  • Coordinates with internal and external communities of interest
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent is required
  • Proven sales and business development track record
  • Seven (7) years plus business development, marketing and/or sales experience
  • Strong business and project management skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong opportunity pipelines
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a wide spectrum of people with varying degrees of experience and knowledge
  • Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to negotiate
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, (i.e. excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities)
  • Proven go-getter
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets
  • Write reports and provide feedback to upper management
