DESCRIPTION
Quran Community is looking for a Senior Android/iOS Software Dev Engineer to join an exciting project team working to build a completely new best-in-class Quran social media platform. We are an innovative, cross-platform, customer-obsessed team. Our mission is to create an online social media platform centralized around the Quran and establish a global community of tens of millions of users.
As a founding member of the team, you will work alongside senior engineers from the United States along with a local Pakistan team to research, design, and engineer the new platform. You will be responsible for creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance mobile apps for Android and iOS based systems. You will have a significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive the software architecture, mentor junior iOS/Android engineers and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline or industry experience.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience preferably split between iOS and Android.
- Firm understanding of software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of mobile platforms.
- Strong object-oriented skills.
- Experience delivering native mobile applications on Android and iOS.
- Ability to mentor junior iOS/Android engineers.
- Experience with both Java and Swift.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Good verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- iOS, Swift, XCode, Java, Android SDK, Studio, APIs, or Frameworks; and experience with object-oriented development, multithreading, networking, JSON, and data structures.
- Ability to translate UI designs into beautiful mobile implementations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering high-scalability mobiles applications.
- Experience with AWS.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience preferably split between iOS and Android.
- Experience in streaming technologies (HLS, DASH, etc.).
- Ability to create custom views when needed.
- Detail oriented and obsessed about quality.
