The Territory Sales Supervisor (TSS) position, based in Chawinda at Grade Level L1, is an integral part of the Regional Operating Model under the leadership of the Regional Business Head. Reporting directly to the Area Sales Manager, who manages a team of two to three TSS members, this role focuses on collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regional sales targets. The primary objective is to drive growth in JazzCash, postpaid sales, and franchise/retail business development by addressing daily operational challenges and ensuring effective execution in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a thorough understanding of Jazz’s values, business model, products, and regional market dynamics.
- Conduct daily market visits for spot checks and retail audits to ensure stock availability and compliance.
- Manage one assigned franchise, occasionally two depending on potential and geography, with daily oversight and follow-up on reports provided by the Area Manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with franchise and retail networks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Drive development of retail and distribution networks by engaging franchise staff and distribution officers (DO).
- Focus on critical enablers such as BVS activation, EVC (agent-to-agent servicing), market float management (maintaining 2.3 days), and DO service levels (targeting 50% daily).
- Ensure recharge performance through Jazz Load and scratch cards, keeping non-performing retailers below 5% via active DO follow-up.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) including recharge volumes, gross additions (prepaid and postpaid), JazzCash metrics (direct recharge, cash-in, mobile wallet), mobile broadband (MBB) data device sales, and growth of the active retail base.
- Develop and implement plans to increase sales of handsets, Wi-Fi devices, remittances, and postpaid subscriptions.
- Engage retailers in planning below-the-line (BTL) marketing activities aligned with sales targets.
- Optimize trade marketing utilization and expand channel footprint while improving KPIs such as minimum balance and retailer servicing for JazzCash and voice services.
- Maintain territory integrity and manage infringement issues effectively.
- Foster positive relationships with retailers and franchise owners within the assigned area.
- Continuously review and improve JazzCash and voice KPIs for self and team members.
- Proactively introduce innovative ideas and processes to enhance overall team performance.
- Motivate and counsel franchise and retail channel stakeholders by explaining profitability models to strengthen partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects with end-to-end responsibility, from planning through rollout and feedback.
- Capacity to work independently as well as under supervision to improve sales and distribution channel effectiveness.
- Experience in consistently achieving monthly KPI targets including JazzCash wallet activation, postpaid and prepaid sales, remittances, cash-in, and mobile number portability (MNP).
- Demonstrated success in increasing business penetration and consistently meeting assigned sales targets.
- Strong skills in channel development and sales management.
- Relevant experience managing sales teams and retail/franchise channels.
