Registered Nurse can be assigned in any areas depending upon the need of the unit with the expectation of managing in ER, Wards, OPD,  LR/OT, Echo room and Neonatal Unit or Peads ward 

POSITION SPECIFICATION

Academic/Professional Qualification:   Degree/diploma from recognized institutes            

Experience and Training:     Minimum 2 year experience in relative field.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability and Traits:

  1. Ability to speak and understand job related verbal and written English,.
  2. Demonstrate polite, caring and courteous behavior at all time.
  3. Demonstrate positive attitude to those in authority.
  4. Ability to give clear verbal instructions / information to patients  and visitors in colloquial Urdu
  5. Implement nursing process in nursing care
  6. Must have leadership and problem solving skills

Technical Competency 

  1. I/V Cannulation & Medication Administration.
  2. Can understand Infection Control & Nursing Protocol.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge about Lactation Management.            
  4. Trained in BLS

REGULAR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mammogram Unit

  1. Operate Mammogram machine and perform mammography.
  2. Keep Mammogram room clean and tidy.
  3. Ensures complete preparation (equipment and supplies) for mammogram Room.
  4. Prepare patient for procedure and complete relevant documentation/reports
  5. Align appointments of patients for Mammography and communicate to relevant staff
  6. Complete record keeping and documentation as per protocol
  7. Keep close liaison with Radiologist
  8. Coordinate with BHC team for referral of Cases
  9. Comply with Infection Control protocols as per standards
  10. Maintain inventory of the supplies for the Unit
  11. Suport Radiologist in carryout daily tasks
  12. Performs any other task assigned by HN/Supervisor
  13. Supervise LHVs/RMs in carrying out their tasks
  14. Report to Shift In charge /  Head Nurse in case of any problem / complaint / incident
  15. Inform maintenance Department/BME in case of any default found in any instrument / equipment.
  16. Gives health education and teachings to clients

PERIODIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  1. Attend all departmental and intradepartmental meetings
  2. Attend continue education program within and outside the organization
