REGULAR DUTIES:

  1. Follows HR policies, staff code of conduct and discipline during the employment
  2. Should be fully aware of the mission statement and objective of their concern department and endeavor to implement with team spirit within the department.
  3. To check vital sign, intake output and record properly
  4. To assist the clinicians ensuring adequate nursing care the inpatient, to assist and attend cases and to create appropriate nursing culture and supportive environment within the secondary care unite
  5. Administer IV,IM,PO etc. medication to the patient
  6. Perform catheterization, NG insertion, NG feeding, IV cannualation, fluid administration etc.
  7. Regularly dress up and always wear uniform code in duty hours
  8. Ensure that specimens for investigations are sent straight to the laboratory and receive/attach the results to the patient’s charts.
  9. Carry out doctor’s order for patient and perform the task timely
  10. Ensure enough nursing care for patients (i.e mouth wash, sponging, back rubs, nail cuttings and precautions against bedsores).
  11. Demonstrate familiarity with the concepts of : Nursing quality assurance, nursing process and care plan, nursing policies and procedure, patient confidentiality infection control.
  12. Take complete over from previous shift nurse: Bed to bed for clients, stocks of the department eg. Thermometer, oxygen cylinder, emergency drug, PB operates and other instruments etc.
  13. Readily accept constructive criticism and integrate criticism to improve practice
  14. To care all surgical and medical patient (pre and post-operative care)
  15. Perform any other assignment delegated by In-charge or Head Nurse.
  16. Maintain good team spirit to adjust well in the system.
  17. Prepares and keeps ready charts for newly admitted patients
  18. Creates enabling environment for the staff to foster positive change and motivation among the staff.
  19. Work for infection control and diseases prevention
  20. To provide health education to the patient.
  21. Identify chronic and complicated cases in ward and informed to head nurse  
  22.  Analyze the patient data and share with head nurse.
