To improve the health of the people in general and the mothers and children in particular through preventive and curative care based on the principles of primary health care. The post holder will carry responsibility for planning, implementing, co-coordinating and reviewing health facilitation and conducting outreach clinics for screening of women, children and adults with ensuring a high standard of service is provided to communities and participants
· Required to operate health screening equipment such as Blood Pressure, BMI, sugar etc.
· Manage assigned equipment and facilities through proper preventative maintenance checks and services.
· Work in collaboration with staff to mobilize communities to implement AQCESS activities.
· Has extensive theoretical background of primary health care, health education and health promotion and applies this knowledge into her job reasonably.
· Using knowledge of procedures and utilization of protocols for effective service delivery
· Demonstrates full knowledge understanding of handling emergencies and make proper referral arrangements if required.
· Register all pregnant mothers; examine them regularly as per policy/procedure during antenatal and postnatal period.
· Ensure conducting normal deliveries safely and in a hygienic way.
· Identify high risk cases, motivate and arrange proper referral.
· Maintains hygienic environment in the unit and ensures proper disposal of wastes.
· Performs periodic performance reviews and submit to the immediate supervisors.
