Purchase Officer (Karachi)
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and dynamic procurement professional for its Supply Chain Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of AKHS, P polices and procedure of Purchase, Inventory & Distribution;
- Obtain quotations for capital & consumable items and make necessary documentation for decision making;
- Carryout the process of procurement (from obtaining purchase requisition to execution of purchase orders) along with making proper documentation of capital and consumable items;
- Follow-up with suppliers and vendors with regards to supplies & equipment deliveries;
- Coordinate with the regions regarding day-to-day issues;
- Facilitate in Installation, user training & maintenance of equipments for North & Chitral regions through Company/Bio medical services;
- Prepare monthly summary report of procurement including capital items and consumables.
Education, Experience & Competencies
- Bachelors in Commerce or equivalent;
- 2-3 years of relevant experience;
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills;
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment;
- Proficient in word processing, spread sheets with exposure of working on ERP, presentation applications and incline towards working in a technology-driven environment;
- Sound knowledge of tender processing for capital and non capital items;
- Willing to travel whenever required.
