Job Summary:

To provide the necessary support to Head Shariah Compliance Department in functions as per Shariah Governance Framework and Shariah Board decisions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities to perform the Role (Bulleted):

  1. To provide the necessary support to the IBD product development, business units and branches and its head office departments in their day to day Shariah related issues/ quarries under guidance, advice and supervision of the Head SCD.
  2. To execute and implement the enforcement actions under supervision of Head SCD as prescribed by the RSBM/ SB on the reports of internal Shariah audit, external Shariah audit and extract of SBP’s inspection reports, follow-ups with the management and for keeping a record of all the unresolved issues.
  3. To support Head SCD while developing/updating the Shariah Compliance manual and checklists.
  4. To conduct the Shariah internal control review of business units, branch and Head Office departments to ensure the compliance of IBD operations with rules and principles of Shariah, SBP instructions, and SB guidelines as an ongoing basis under the supervision of Head SCD.
  5. To support Head SCD while delivering Shariah Training along with training material in collaboration with the Training Unit of IBD as per training program approved by SB.
  6. Any other responsibility is given by Head SCD/ RSBM.

Experience: 03 to 05 Years of banking experience

Qualification: Bachelors

Other Qualification: Certification/PGD/NIBAF Courses in Islamic Banking
