Full Stack MERN Developer (Node JS / MongoDB) Remote
The Digital Men are looking for MERN stack developers to join our team. We are looking for hardworking, team orientated, talented individuals who can take ownership of problems and provide solutions.
This is a remote position for the time being, working hours to be agreed, 45 hours a week. You will be expected to work during GMT +0 working hours.
Payment package is dependent on experience & is negotiable for the right candidate(s).
You must have good/reliable internet connection/electricity.
You will help to build & maintain new and existing application for new & existing customers.
The ideal candidate should be able to/have:
- 4+ years Commercial experience developing MERN/MEAN web applications.
- High level understanding of Agile Development Methodology and terminologies.
- OOP with experience with Nodejs frameworks such as express js & sails js
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Experience with another backend language such as PHP, C# or Java.
- Design and construction of our RESTful & GraphQL APIs.
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Good understanding and knowledge of ES6.
- Good knowledge of frontend technologies such as React & Vue Js.
- Extensive experience in working with SQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL, Postgresql) and NoSQL databases.
- Good frontend skills HTML, CSS, JS, bootstrap/zurb foundation, PSD to bootstrap/foundation/react.
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Good understanding of Docker
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related.
Must have Skills:
- Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
- Extensive knowledge of software architecture/design patterns
- Unit Testing
- 3+ years node js experience
- 3+ react js experience
- Strong skills in Database design (Mongo, mysql, postgresql)
- HTML/CSS
- Git Version Control
- Agile Development including User Stories, Epics.
- Able to create well high quality documentation.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Able to liaise with end users and resolve queries/bugs.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with mobile technologies such as react native/flutter.
- Experience in developing Desktop applications.
