Knowledge / Skills:
Knowledge of banking laws, practices, audit procedures and other applicable laws in Pakistan.
Knowledge of best audit practices
Knowledge of latest auditing techniques related to financial institutions and micro finance best practices
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills to interpret financial ratios in its true meaning and arrive at the conclusions.
Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels in the organization to facilitate audit.
Good negotiation and persuasive skills
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to assist in reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations for the correction and improvement of audit operations, management control systems and organizational unit/ department performance.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate smooth implementation of auditing and compliance strategies for the organization.
Act as a Team leader for conducting periodic audits. Also in special circumstances act as team member on the instruction of the HOA.
Conduct periodic &/or supervise audits of branches &/or departments as per the agreed schedule and time
Efficiently implements audits and analyses audit results and highlight the significant findings in well-written audit reports.
Assist in implementation of polices and procedures as per the polices of the bank and as per the PR.
Responsible to conduct internal audits of the assigned areas as per the directions of HOA.
Conducts and/or assist Manager Audit in carrying out fraud investigations.
Responsible to assist the Audit Manager in reviewing policies and procedures and recommend changes as per the best practices and improving built-in controls.
Carry out reviews to ensure compliance of the regulations prescribed for the Bank as per the directions of Audit Manager.
Responsible to assist in internal control evaluation.
Report audit findings and make appropriate recommendations for the correction /prevention of unsatisfactory conditions and improvements in operations.
Responsible to assist in preparing audit reports and detailed comments outlining audit scope, results and recommendations for corrective actions.
Responsible to write the draft of audit report to finalize for the Audit Manager. In circumstances may require to finalise the report for direct review and signature of the HOA.
Responsible to review transactions, documents, records, reports and methods for accuracy and effectiveness during audit assignments.
Conduct follow up reviews as and when required by the Audit Manager.
Conduct follow up audits to ensure compliance of audit recommendations.
Assist in reviewing the compliance with PR, other laws/ regulations and Bank’s internal polices.
Perform special assignments and other related duties as assigned by the HOA.
Responsible for the periodic/special audits of the branches and support departments
Assist in auditing of special reviews at the request of HOA.
Periodically evaluate the system’s reliability and recommend improvements in audit techniques
