Job Description:
Position Overview:
As the Supply Chain Operations Specialist Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products. You will lead a team of specialists, manage day-to-day operations, and drive improvements in supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of Supply Chain Operations Specialists.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
- Set clear performance goals and monitor progress.
Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan supply accordingly.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze data and key performance indicators to drive decision-making.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supply chain processes.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality control.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable agreements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all supply chain processes adhere to quality and compliance standards.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct regular audits.
- Collaborate with quality teams to resolve any issues promptly.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock reconciliations.
- Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and reduction of carrying costs.
- Minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and present supply chain reports and performance metrics.
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Make data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in supply chain management, with at least [2 years] in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
