System Administrator directly reports to Head IT/Manager/A.M IT
BASIC FUNCTIONS
1. Server Infrastructure / Servers Deployment
2. Server Application Enhancement / Server and System Projects
3. Server & Data Security Polices (Hardware/Software base)
4. System Support Team Management
5. Server Maintenance & Backup / Maximum Uptime
6. Trainings, Seminars, Event Organizing (IT Support)
7. Server Monitoring, Logging, Tracking
8. Documentation
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
General
- Implementation, Management and maintenance of Servers (Domain Controller, Active Directory, DNS, File Server, DHCP, Proxy Server, Media Server, Antivirus Server)
- Group policies implementation to improve system performance. Make sure security measurement to avoid any loophole.
- Management and Up-gradation of VM ware ESXI. ESXI recourse allocation and OS up-gradation.
- Deploy new servers and propose solutions according to need of the organization.
- Implementation and Configuration of verity of OS (Microsoft, Linux, Unix)
- Scheduling backup of Servers core application and data of (Staff/Faculty/Student). Should be responsible the data dignity and integrity. Maintain data privacy and confidentiality.
- Responsible to provide support staff/faculty/students regarding their system-relevant issue/problems.
- Organized IT support/technical setup at the time of Seminars, Training, and Events.
- Leads system support team. Assign network relevant tasks and duties. Acquire comprehensive reporting by network support team and publish to senior on daily bases.
- Responsible of system support team and assure that support problem should be resolve on minimum time.
- Provide system support on Level 3, and major issue.
- Implement general service plan of campus systems (C.P.U) by system support teams and report accordingly.
- Supervision system support team and take positive steps to improve the efficiency and reporting
- Documentation should be organized w.r.t Systems/Servers credential.
