Technical Writer/Product Specialist
TimeSolv is seeking a Technical Writer/Product Specialist who will become a domain expert by learning product features and functionality. They will create written documents for internal use and for helping customers learn our products. They will obtain information from the subject matter experts across the leadership, software development, and quality assurance. This person will be responsible for organizing written content for customer support site. They will also become an expert on TimeSolv’s competitors’ products and document features across vendors creating requirements documents with user stories using screenshots.
Responsibilities
- Become a product feature expert
- Organize and refine existing online help content for ease of customers
- Learn and document competitors’ products
- Become an industry expert on strengths and weaknesses of competitors
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience analyzing multiple software products, desired 3 years’ experience in the accounting, time tracking, billing, project management, or resource management software products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) – don’t need programming skills but experience in business software applications
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
- Work from home from a quiet environment with high-speed internet and a computer with windows 10 that is less than 3 years old. Must know MS Word, PPT, Excel, etc.
- Proven experience in creating of software help documentation
- Ability to take projects from concept to completion and consistently meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
