We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer specializing in custom plugin development to join our team. As a WordPress Developer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress plugins from scratch. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our clients' websites and delivering unique, tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to understand client needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
- Design and develop custom WordPress plugins from scratch, ensuring clean and efficient code that follows industry best practices.
- Customize existing WordPress plugins or themes to meet specific project requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of plugins to ensure they function flawlessly across different browsers, devices, and WordPress versions.
- Optimize plugins for performance, scalability, and security, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with designers and front-end developers to integrate plugins seamlessly into WordPress themes.
- Provide accurate time estimates for plugin development tasks and adhere to project timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and techniques, and proactively suggest improvements and innovative solutions to enhance plugin development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any plugin-related issues or bugs reported by clients or team members.
- Document plugin functionalities, installation procedures, and any customizations made for future reference.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong focus on custom plugin development.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and WordPress coding standards.
- Experience in developing custom WordPress plugins from scratch, including creating hooks, filters, and shortcodes.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, database structure, and core functionality.
- Familiarity with popular WordPress plugins and frameworks, such as WooCommerce, BuddyPress, or Elementor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate client requirements into functional plugin solutions.
