We are looking for a Sales Manager Import who will be the face of our brand! The Sales Manager should have existing knowledge & relationships in shipping, retail, garments & FMCG sectors. The individual will utilize their existing network to build interest & passion with the customers while representing US.  Elevate partnerships by providing exceptional customer service, building brand awareness, sales and brand advocacy. Candidate must be a highly self-motivated individual to make sales calls to develop and maintain a customer base within a given geographic sales territory.Candidate must be able to lock the sales immediately after joining with his existing clientele.

Role Purpose

Drive Sales, market shares and enforce positioning of the brand by developing effective business strategies and executing focused activity programs to deliver agreed targets.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop country sales strategy and operational plans in close co-operation with the Management team (CEO) and in line with the company strategy and guidelines.
  • Achieve annual / monthly KPI’s and targets.
  • Identify, obtain, and manage the right resources and develop the most suited sales organization’s structure and methods of operations.
  • Plan, allocate and control country specific budget allocations in line with the Sales strategy.
  • Steer & optimize distribution (be in the right account), assortment (with right products) and visibility
  • Establish territory best practices and share across the country/ region.
  • Achieves collection targets by channel.
  • Ensures full adherence of credit policy.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain relationship with key decision makers, including purchasing agents, owners and managers of potential customers. Develop new accounts
  • Service existing accounts
  • Understand and communicate customer needs
  • Provides aggressive follow up on quotes
  • Cold calling
  • Tracking and reporting to management
  • Work as a team with other divisions to create a comprehensive customer solution
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and well organized

Sales Forecasting

  • Forecast with the management team (CEO) In Market Sales targets.
  • Provide the company with recommendations for new leads and areas for optimized supply chain.

Market Visits and Relationship with customers

  • Visit key accounts on a regular basis and conduct regular trade visits with sales force for other account.
  • Negotiate annual contracts including pricing, listing, visibility in line with the country annual plan
  • Set up monthly journey plan to allow for structured and effective visits 

Communication

  • Be the first contact point with the customers/distributors and a consultant to the trade
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with the management team/ distributors to align executional objectives, identify opportunities and take corrective actions if necessary.
  • Pro-actively collect consumer/trade information and specific market trends and share it with the management.

Requirements:

  • High performance track record in managing import/export markets or a Distributor within the region whilst working with a Principal.
  • Passionate about our brand
  • Has an existing network within Shipping Lines/Freight Forwarders/ Overseas Agents around the world
  • Experienced in service sector with a significant customer facing sales or service experience
  • Creative with attention to detail and visual merchandising aesthetics
  • 2-3 years’ service sales experience a plus
  • Passionate for customers and exceeding expectations
  • Confident to talk to customers, with excellent verbal communication skills
  • Computer high proficiency; MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
