- The population, 80% without a bank account, has been starved off house financing solutions for years. Pakistan’s housing finance-GDP ratio is one of the lowest in the world – 0.25% (South Asia: 3%, Bangladesh: 3%, India: 11%).
- Trellis’ mission is to fill this gap by providing affordable green mortgage solutions to low and middle income groups in Pakistan.

Primary Responsibilities
- As one of the first members of our software engineering team, you will be laying the groundwork for long term success.
- You will partner with our business analysts, operations team, and risk team to create and extend front-end UIs for Wordpress, SuiteCRM, and our core banking platform using Angular.
- As we get set up, you will also assist with troubleshooting of our core banking platform front-end (open source based on Angular).
- As we grow, there will be opportunities to specialize and/or to move into leadership roles.
- Create SuiteCRM plugins pulling data from other systems using REST APIs
- Create front-end Wordpress plugins
- Extend and customize the user experience for business process forms and workflows
- Create automated unit and integration tests to ensure quality
- Assist data analytics team with data visualization and reporting
- Assist communications and marketing teams with web and communication design
- Assist operations team with automating CI/CD pipelines from git to S3 or Docker repo
- Work under limited supervision with considerable latitude for personal initiative
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on front end web technologies
- Front-end web development using Angular or React
- Working knowledge of Bootstrap and Webpack or equivalent
- Version control with git
- Interfacing with external REST APIs
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills (English)
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Docker containers
- Cloud/serverless development (e.g. AWS Lambda, Step Functions, S3)
- Experience with BPM tools
- Knowledge of CRM systems
- Proficiency with Python, Java, or PHP
