Tropical Software Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven DevOps Engineer with over 3 years of experience specializing in Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will be instrumental in integrating development and operations processes by automating deployment workflows and managing scalable cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure high availability, security, and performance of our .NET-based application ecosystem. You will lead and manage a team of 3 professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement to optimize operational efficiency and support rapid software delivery cycles.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a thorough understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, configuration management, containerization technologies, and cloud monitoring practices. You will employ your skills in Azure DevOps and related tooling to maintain and enhance robust, reliable, and automated systems. Your role will involve close cooperation with development teams to build, test, and deploy code, while proactively identifying and resolving system issues to uphold production stability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines to automate application build and release processes.
- Manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to ensure system scalability, high availability, and security compliance aligned with organizational standards.
- Design and maintain configuration management solutions that facilitate consistent and repeatable deployments across multiple environments.
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker and related technologies to streamline application deployment and scaling.
- Create and maintain automation scripts to support infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Application Insights; promptly address issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and enforce version control best practices, including branching and merging strategies in Git and Github Actions to ensure code integrity and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with software development teams to understand application requirements and provide operational support throughout the software lifecycle.
- Lead a team of 3 DevOps professionals by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and best practices to improve existing processes and infrastructure reliability.
- Document procedures, workflows, and configurations clearly to maintain knowledge sharing and operational consistency within the team.
- Conduct regular system audits and recommend improvements to enhance security, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud environment.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to rapidly resolve production issues and implement preventive measures.
