- Maintaining and administering computer server and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing server security measures.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving server hardware, software, and other network and server problems.
- Replacing faulty server hardware components when required.
- Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
- Monitoring server performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of server and computer systems.
- Coordinating computer server access and use.
- Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
- Be familiar with Firewalls and Corporate Antivirus Implementation
- Knowledge of Mailing Servers (Exchange & Mdaemon).
- Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
- Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.
- Train staff about potential uses of existing technology.
- Provide individual training and support on request.
- Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
- Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access.
- Troubleshoot all technical issues.
- Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources.
- Research current and potential resources and services.
- Monitor security of all technology.
- Install and maintain Foolproof and passwords.
- Input and maintain IP addresses.
- Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
