We are looking for a Restaurant Cashier (female) to cover payment handling duties for our restaurant. The candidate will run credit/ debit cards along with payments through mobile wallets, make change for cash payments, and provide general customer service. The candidate will also greet customers as they come in, punch the orders in POS (Point of Sale) system, and resolve any complaints. The ideal candidate must hold restaurant experience and a high school diploma, but we are willing to work with anyone who has the right attitude and work ethic for the job.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the restaurant
- Punching orders in POS system (Point of Sale)
- Process credit cards and get signatures
- Create change for those paying with cash
- Closeout the register at the end of the day
- Provide customer service and complaint resolution
Requirements and Qualifications
- Min Intermediate, along with good communications skills
- Restaurant experience (preferred)
- Basic skills in MS Excel
- Customer service skills
- Friendly disposition and strong work ethic
