Data Scientist

UBL is looking to hire suitable candidates for the position of Data Scientist within its IT division. This role will lead the development and deployment of modern Machine Learning and statistical methods for finding process insights into problems as articulated by the Bank.

Job Description:

Work for Data Science team in supporting different Business departments to analyze and understand their requirements through extensive data exploration phases
Work directly with Data Engineering/Data Science resources to devise and recommend solutions based on the understood requirements
Work on POC and Pilot Projects to showcase the benefits of Advanced Analytics and Big Data Technologies to Businesses
Use Analytical tools; like SAS, TDWM, KXEN, SPSS, Watson Studio, Python, R, etc., to deliver the required analytics solutions
Strong hands-on with data wrangling and crunching to develop the right insights
Present findings to relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field from HEC recognized university
2+ years’ experience in the data-driven field (e.g., BI, DWH, Analytics, etc.)
Hands-on experience with programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, etc.)
In-depth understanding of Machine Learning concepts and statistical modeling
Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning is a plus
Experience in data analysis is a plus
