As an ideal candidate, you will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. You’re a highly-skilled market analyst with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of product production — from conception through release. You mPay already be a confident leader who has experience guiding cross-functional teams in the successful creation of products that improve consumer experience and grow market share.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements.
- Be a senior leader within the product organization.
- Help shape the direction, influence product strategy, and establish practices to address customer needs.
- Use feedback from sellers and developers across multiple markets to improve our feature portfolio to meet needs across the entire Square ecosystem.
- Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all of our goals.
- You will outline entire roadmaps and project requirements, goals, and constraints.
- Provide product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages.
- Support the Product Owner and Product Marketer with any questions they may have
- Work with your engineering, design, and analytics partners to execute your team’s roadmap.
- Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization.
- Determine features, write product and technical specs, organize user studies, help write test plans, manage the backlog.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.
- Strong experience in a dynamic product management role.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager.
- Experience of managing SaaS products.
- Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science.
- Highly effective cross-functional team management.
