  • Identify and prioritize existing/potential enterprises/commodities in agriculture and non-agriculture sectors. Develop their complete profiles;
  • Carry out detail market assessment of the products and services within identified value chains, identify niche market opportunities and suggest practical interventions for value chain strengthening and development;
  • Jointly with agriculture and livestock department and other associated departments, undertake diagnostic studies, identify bottlenecks in the production system and suggest improvement plan;
  • Organize farmers/producers into business interest groups (BIGs). Execute all project activities through these BIGs;
  • Develop close liaison between the value chain actors and project stakeholders at micro, meso and macro level of engagement;
  • Identify the knowledge gap and strengths of the targeted communities regarding improved practices of production and marketing like grading, sorting, packing and packaging etc;
  • Develop market linkages and synergies with relevant government/non-government/ private sector organizations for smooth implementation of the proposed project activities;
  • Assessment of the demand and supply dynamics in the project area in regard to available products and services;
  • Monitoring and reporting of value chain interventions, and provide technical feedback to team members in the region and country office;
  • Identify and represent organization effectively on all forums and networks related to value chain programming.
