Testing competence:

  • Manage in reviewing and sign-off test scenarios, user journey and user stories. Review UAT test scenario as well.
  • Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
  • Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams.
  • Work with QA managers and Director to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals

  Process management:

  • Responsible to manage defining QA strategy, approach and execution in development projects.
  • Participate in interviews, induction, training and performance evaluation of all QA Team.
  • Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
  • Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.
  • Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards.
  • Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Implement steps required to improve the processes.

  Leadership:

  • Responsible for Leading and managing the QA Teams.
  • Be accountable for the test automation projects, mentor, and provide leadership to the QA automation developers and Assistant managers.
  • Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc.
  • Interact with the customers, help them define their testing strategy and clearly define the testing boundary.
  • Driving and improving the QA team in areas of automated testing.
  • Must be able to identify how the team would achieve the roadmap identified for the regional(MEA) organization
  • Must identify/improve the required metrics and work to have them in place. These metrics could be an inherent goal for the test team
  • Identifying QA staff performance indicators and build/improve an assessment process
  • Supervising all testing activities carried out by the team and identify team members who require more training
  • Create a budget for testing

  Required Skills and Qualification:

  • 12+ years of experience in QA/Testing
  • 5+ years of experience in Banking/financial industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Manual and Automation testing, full Stack Testing, Mobile Testing, Cloud Testing Etc.,
  • Experience managing a large team of tester preferably more than 40 testers
  • Experience in Microsoft CRM Dynamics is preferred.
  • A solid foundation in quality assurance is a necessity in this role, to thoroughly understand processes to develop improved and effective procedures
  • Deep knowledge in testing methodologies
  • Effective leadership, coordination, and motivation skills are vital to direct and oversee personnel within the QA department
  • Extensive knowledge of process improvement and enhancement to constantly find ways to streamline processes and boost efficiency
  • Organization skills- a high degree of organization to successfully direct and oversee all quality assurance procedures and coordinate production processes
  • Communication skills - effective verbal and written communication to provide reports to top management, customer and business leaders to influence decision-making
  • Have sound knowledge about the business area and the client's requirement to design a test strategy, test goal, and objectives.
  • Familiar with various types of testing tools
  • Certification through the ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager is a plus
