Responsibilities:
- Follow-up on import shipment statuses after confirmation of LC, ensuring shipments are dispatched on time, highlighting any delays in the schedule to relevant decision-makers.
- Work with forwarders to ensure the fastest and most economical shipping method.
- Update the imports dashboard, keeping all stakeholders including operations, R&D and senior management up to date.
- Check shipping/import documents and ensure there are no mistakes before dispatch.
- Work with company-approved clearing agent(s) to ensure timely and cost-effective import clearance.
- Handle logistics from port to company-designated warehouse(s)
- Ensure data entry into ERP is thorough and on time.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping as per set SOPs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years experience in import operations and documentation.
- Must have direct experience working with import clearing agents.
- Analytical personality with strong Excel skills.
- Experience using an ERP would be highly beneficial.
