Must have stack:
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Obsession with high performance, clean and well-documented coding standards.
- Experience with relational (MySQL or Postgre) and unstructured databases (MongoDB, DocumentDB) and/or cloud-based DB such as AWS DynamoDB. Must be able to writing complex database queries, optimizing database structure for performance
- Deep understanding of distributed architecture and how to scale backend system with fault tolerance and load balancing
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, inter-services communication with design patterns in pub/sub, message queues
- Experience and knowledge of incorporating middlewares such as loopback, Django, Amplify, Firebase or others to build robust REST APIs and GraphQL
- Knowledge and working experience on how to build high quality API and documentation using OpenAPI specification
- Experience with advanced usage on postman, swagger or other equivalent API testing and documentation tools
- Cognizant of application security practices and how to incorporate security best practices in architecture and code.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, identity management, OAuth, SAML, OpenID, Auth flows, prevailing encryption standards, MFA management
- Experienced with Git management, branching and merging various team code and managing code repositories for different environments
- Experience in developing test documentation (checklist, test cases etc.).
- A degree in Software Engineering/IT/Computer science or equivalent.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., GitLab CI)
- Experience with cloud DevOps, Serverless computing on AWS using Lambda & API Gateway is a big plus
- Experience with any leading identity management solutions such as Okta, Auth0, Azure AD, Firebase Auth.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or other international standards and regulations
- Knowledge of international privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA
- Technical understanding and previous knowledge of having worked on automated testing or writing test scripts using Selenium, Codeception
