- Are you passionate about developing great online user experiences while demonstrating strong attention to detail? VirrgoTech is seeking an enthusiastic Front-end Developer who is capable of developing and testing websites and applications that are user-friendly, SEO optimized, and in sync with the latest code standards.
- As the front-end developer, you'll be responsible for programming websites and web/native applications from the ground up as well as editing/tweaking existing sites and applications.
- With a solid understanding of primary front-end technologies — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery — you'll help convert design concepts into functional websites and mobile/web applications using the latest techniques, code standards/semantics and accessibility.
- This may range from developing UX/UI websites and Apps to cross-browser, multi-platform testing and optimization.
- Moreover, you'll drive our clients' websites forward by helping us extend our organic reach through addressing on-page SEO issues and analyzing metrics about how users interact with websites and applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
- In-depth understanding of web markup including HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and SASS
- Advanced DOM scripting with jQuery and JavaScript; comfortable writing JavaScript from scratch.
- Experience with Visual Studio and other dev tools on the Microsoft stack.
- Knowledge of Bootstrap.
- Good grasp of standard performance optimization techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Experience of CMS template builds
- Experience in implementing sophisticated tagging to enable advanced analytics
- Understanding and experience using source control tools such as Git
- Knowledge of build tools such as Gulp
- Knowledge of responsive/adaptive and mobile-first approach
- Knowledge of Information Architecture, UX, web Standards, SEO, Accessibility, and Usability
- Experience with using Agile software development methods in a CI/CD and DevOps environments
- Experience in developing mobile-friendly responsive websites
- Good knowledge of W3C standards and browser-compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Competencies
- Translation of UI/UX wireframe to visual elements
- Be involved in the design of the overall architecture of the application
- Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the application
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
