Your role
As the Director of IT & Cyber Security at VisionX Technologies, you will be in charge of IT infrastructure and thus expected to ensure reliable and secure operation of network and associated services.  You are expected to be well-versed in network technologies, including firewalls, data leakage protection, patching, encryption and ethical hacking, as well as expert in vulnerability scanning and pen-testing.
 
You will have an end-to-end responsibility to build, manage, and optimize the network. An essential part of your role is to perform cyber security risk management. For example, you will be involved in evaluating risks associated with client contracts and must be able to manage these risks in cost-effective manner.  VisionX has created an environment that empowers responsible, autonomous teams to use the cutting-edge technologies to solve the right problems. As a seasoned cyber security expert with a knack for organizing others around new ideas and tools, you will be responsible for introducing automated security assessment in software development life cycle. You will work with a world-class team of engineers to provide the underlying platform to ensure our teams work safe from cyber threats, able to perform fast, and deliver with high security assurance.

Daily activities
·Architect, design, deliver, monitor, and protect network infrastructure and services. 
·Provide an oversight, preferably in automated manner, of all network operations by leading an experienced team. You need to make sure that no unexpected event (on-prem, cloud, apps) goes unnoticed. You must keep a vigilant eye on our digital foot print from the security operations center that you built.
·Design and implement a security incident response program.  You should have a well-defined and documented plan of action to put into place if a security incident does occur. You should ensure that this program is tested on-ground and every stakeholder knows his or her duties during such an incident.
·Make sure that right tools and technologies are used in our IT and DevOps. This includes high degree of automation and timely update or replacement of out-dated IT tools and software. If a team is looking at a new technology, you will evaluate it and implement any controls that mitigate the risk of its operation.
·Monitor applicable regulation and compliance. Our company works in a heavily regulated industry and deals with sensitive customer data like personally identifiable information and specialized technology. You must enable our company ready for any external audit.
·Enable communication among different departments to reduce cyber security risk. You will be owner of all IT and cyber security related risks. You are expected to deliver periodic awareness sessions in different departments at a right level with relevance to their work.
.Perform internal audit of policies and controls continuously. Cyber security is a dynamic goal post and you have to maintain our security posture at the most effective level.
·Ensure cyber security stays on priority list of all stake holders. Your job is to make the benefits clearly visible to team leads and top management. You will be involved in briefing the board directors, and chief operating officer on cyber security. You should focus on communicating the state of your information security program including successes and failures.
·Develop KPIs that provide in-depth visibility into company IT and Cyber security posture.

Qualifications
·5+ years of leadership experience with 10+ years in IT & Cyber Security role
· Ability to attract, develop, and inspire a team of high performing security professionals
·History of success in systems leadership roles, with demonstrated excellence in enabling and securing SaaS offerings.
·Solid understanding of Private Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS using AWS Cloud
·Strong understanding of agile software development processes with experience guiding teams through planning, development, and rollout.
·BS or MS in related industry/field or equivalent experience (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems)
·Hands-on experience with ISO 27001, Pentesting, SOC2, GDPR, and Risk Management.
