Senior Associate - Procurement & Vendor Management

Your role
As the Senior Associate Procurement & Vendor Management at VisionX Technologies, you will be 
responsible for managing the end to end procurement activities of the organization globally, manage vendor relationships, establishing payment terms, strategic vetting/selection, the negotiation of contracts and actual purchasing of goods. The position will also create budgets and reports and responsible for identifying cost saving opportunities.

Daily activities
- Develop a clear understanding of the business strategies, goals, and plans and build a compatible procurement operating model.
- Review and establish policies, procedures, performance metrics, and resource requirements to ensure reliability and proper Opex and Capex spend.
- Responsible for the execution of all the purchases and ensure that the supplies are received when they are require including raising purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, negotiate terms and execute contracts.
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers locally and offshore and maintain a list of approved suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times and terms.
- Oversee implementation, maintenance and review of SLAs and contracts to clearly set role, responsibility and performance management.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery and maintain all the files and record up to date.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure all payments are done within agreed time frames and maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
- Prepare and provide monthly procurement reports to management.
- Participate in annual budgets and ensure it compliance and report deviations.
- Assess and highlight financial and business risks associated with key operational decisions linked to procurement activities.
- Implement and influence best practices and ensure that all procurement procedures are followed.
- Ensure compliance of regulations associated with the Supply Chain activities (customs duty, excise, importations, exportations, certifications, quality, etc.)
 
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related discipline. A Master’s degree, CIPS certified or Procurement related degree would be an asset.
·         2-4 years proven hands-on experience ideally in IT or Telecom sector in procurement function
·         Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and stakeholders
·         Experience in collecting and analyzing data
·         In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
·         Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software’s. Experience with and solid understanding of ERP systems (MS Dynamics / Net Suite would be an asset)
