One of our UK based fintech client is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to oversee our Quality Assurance team. You will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the company. This may include developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reports.
To ensure success as a Senior QA Engineer you should have extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to project management.
Responsibilities
1. Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities
2. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
3. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
4. Leading the QA team in designing QA test procedures and overseeing the QA process
5. Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures
6. Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market
7. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for the given Scrum team
8. Manual test application components where automation is not a good fit
9. Mentor team members in testing strategies and automation design patterns
10. Execute test plans, performance, and regression testing in order to validate sites, apps, and systems meet design specifications and requirements
Qualifications & Skills
· BS and/or MS in a technical discipline (Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred)
· 8 or more years experience in an Agile, highly collaborative, team-based environment
· 5 or more years experience developing API and UI test automation projects
· Proven ability to lead a team
· Experience in multiple forms for testing including, but not limited to: Unit testing, performance testing, integration testing, manual testing, automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline, etc
· Experience in developing a test strategy and test plan for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), End to End Testing, and Regression Testing
· Strong understanding of test automation frameworks such as Selenium Web Driver/Cucumber
· Experience integrating automated testing processes with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins/Azure Pipelines
· Experience working with SQL Server or other relational databases
· Experience using source control solutions such as Git/GitHub
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts
