VORTIQ Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven International Trade Executive to lead import, export, and business development activities in agricultural commodities, fertilizers, petrochemicals, and industrial raw materials. The ideal candidate manages a team of three and drives cross-border trade operations across Central Asia, the Middle East, China, and South Asia. This role demands expertise in sourcing, supplier negotiations, international logistics, customs compliance, and commodity trading to expand the companys market presence and improve operational efficiency.
The International Trade Executive oversees complete trade processes, including procurement, export market development, trade documentation, and compliance adherence. The position requires delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, managing freight and logistics to optimize cost and delivery times, ensuring regulatory compliance through thorough documentation, and continuously monitoring market trends to identify new opportunities. This leadership role fosters strong relationships with suppliers and partners to support VORTIQs aggressive growth plans in global commodity markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead international sourcing and procurement by identifying and negotiating with suppliers, developing sourcing channels, and managing contracts and agreements.
- Conduct supplier evaluations considering capabilities, pricing, quality, and commercial terms to ensure optimal partnerships.
- Develop export markets by analyzing market pricing, landed costs, margins, and competitiveness to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate international shipments using various modes including TIR, road, sea, and air freight, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs clearing agents, and transport partners to maintain smooth logistics operations.
- Prepare and review key trade documents such as Letters of Intent, sales and purchase contracts, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and letters of credit documentation.
- Ensure strict compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements to avoid delays and penalties.
- Calculate landed costs and develop pricing models that reflect market realities and company targets.
- Monitor international commodity markets, freight rates, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions and feasibility studies.
- Develop business cases for new trading opportunities and contribute to market intelligence gathering.
- Lead and mentor a team of three professionals to achieve departmental objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate trade activities with overall business goals and performance indicators.
