A British IT company is looking for an experienced ERP developer with proficiency in Odoo and Python. The successful candidate will be responsible for full lifecycle implementation of core ERP products.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, Development and testing of Odoo (OpenERP) modules, projects, products and interfaces.
· Maintaining existing modules.
· Complete and clear documentation for any task/work done.
· Test new functions / modifications to existing application modules in accordance with application support.
· Configuration, installation and maintenance of server and multi database Odoo/Ubuntu environments.
· Keeping different projects/versions under control using SVN or Git.
· Other development tasks in systems developed in Python other than Odoo.
· Take ownership of issues and enhancements as directed by Development Manager
· Document changes and adhere to processes to deploy solutions in a controlled manner
· Utilise existing framework to enhance functionality for bespoke applications
· Actively propose and research enhancements to all systems and processes.
· Provide accurate timescales for all tasks
· Review with Development Manager task list and give feedback on continuous basis
Education
· Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering would be preferred
Experience
· 2 to 3 years in the relevant fields with the proactive use of Odoo
· More than 2 years’ experience in ERP Products would be appreciable.
Competencies
· Superior knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL and ORM.
· Good knowledge of non-relational database concepts (MongoDB and Cassandra).
· Excellent knowledge of web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery).
· Good knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu.
· Good knowledge of SVN and/or Git.
· Knowledge of Python development frameworks (Django and Flask).
· Knowledge of frontend development languages is a great plus (AngularJS or Meteor).
· Knowledge of GIS is a great plus.
· Ability to learn fast and execute accordingly.
· Experience of creating large and/or complex Enterprise level plans for projects
· Identifying and maintaining complex dependencies within programme/project plan
· Integration of project plans into a master programme level plan
· Programme identification, reporting and remediation for risks, issues and interdependencies
· Troubleshooting of problems resulting from planning content or planning tool limitations
· Able to proactively manage own workload
· Flexible and adaptable to changing business circumstances
· Experience with full ERP implementations
