Background
WaterAid is an international non-governmental organisation. Our mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in the world’s poorest communities. WaterAid works by helping local organisations and governments to set up low cost and sustainable WASH solutions that can be managed by the community itself. WaterAid also seeks to influence the policies of other key organisations, such as governments, to secure and protect the right of poor people to safe, affordable water and sanitation services.
WaterAid Pakistan is implementing projects to reach underprivileged people with the access to safe drinking water, decent sanitation and good hygiene. These projects are being implemented in partnership with National NGOs like, NRSP, AGAHE and Mojiz Foundation is different districts of Punjab & Sindh.
The consultant would require to extensively monitor activities and verify the facilities being implemented by partners in projects areas in Thatto, Muzafargarh, Lahore and Islamabad.
Purpose of the assignment
To ensure quality in soft and hard activities through monitoring, feedback and follow ups. WaterAid seeks to hire services of a consultant who will work closely with partner staff and WAP team to undertake monitoring visits followed with feedback and debriefing meetings on daily basis. The person will also verify the actions agreed and incorporated by partner, as part of routine monitoring.

Period of assignment
The expected duration of the assignment is 35 to 40 days which includes an orientation in Islamabad and field monitoring visits including reporting till 31 March 2019. The consultant will undertake monitoring visits in Thatto, Muzaffargarah and Lahore.
Remuneration
This will be negotiated with the shortlisted candidates.

S/he will work under the supervision of Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator WaterAid Pakistan.
