This position will be responsible for installing, configuring, and monitoring network communications equipment, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, software, and other network equipment. The position requires a Professional level Certification minimum with at least 4-5 years of experience with large IP network design, deployment, and operation. In-depth understanding of IP networking, traffic engineering, routing protocols, and IP network QoS techniques in 24*7 shifts. The role reports directly to the Manager NOC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Redundancy with hot standby network availability in Core and Aggregation network
  • Coordination with all stakeholders including vendors to optimize network design/solutions.
  • Establishes networking environment by installing, configuring, testing, and documenting the equipment/network systems according to the design and specifications.
  • Leads the performance of day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability with minimal interruption.
  • Provides technical support, responds to work orders, and tickets from the users, and analyzes and solves reported network problems.
  • Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing the function of other systems.
  • Leads in developing and producing complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.
  • Manage Portal Operations (e.g Zalpro, Splynx , SAS)
  • Complete understanding of Dynamic protocols OSPF, ISIS, BGP/MPLS

· Key Deliverables

  • Ability to build strong relationships with all Teams: Field teams, CS; Device Vendor, SD/CS teams
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve Network/Customer issues
  • L2/L3VPNs, ExVLANS, Firewalls (SRX/FG/F5/ACE), IPSEC and Traffic Engineering

Requirements:

  • Experience and Educational requirements: BSC/BE/BCS with 5years
  • Soft skills and technical skills required: CCNA-CCNP / CCIE preferred
  • Team player and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Agility with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
  • Hands-on experience with IPv6. 
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. PRTG network tools)
  • Solid understanding of network operating system (Cisco IOS)
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organizational and mentoring skills
