We need a DevOps Engineer to be the part of high talented and agile software development team. Position is Islamabad based and we will prefer hiring for this region.
Responsibilities:
- Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
- Build, release and configuration management of production systems
- Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements
- Experience of some of the technologies we use: Cassandra, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch, XMPP.
- Experience in NoSQL databases and their clustering is HUGE plus
Requirements:
- DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24/7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
- Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills or Shell scripting, Power Shell, Python
- Operating System: Linux, UNIX, Windows, Redhat
- Experience in Design and Architecture review
- Excellent DevOps scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, Perl, or Ruby
- Experience scaling, designing, and operating web infrastructure in a large-scale distributed computing environment
- Experience with one or more of the IaaS provider is a must (AWS, Azure, GCE cloud etc)
- An understanding of enterprise systems including Windows, UNIX/Linux systems, IP networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS), and security fundamentals
- Experience of monitoring tools: Zabbix, Grafana, Logstash, Telegraf, InfluxDB.
- Experience with Linux system administration and Understanding of release engineering practices
- Experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Chef, Docker, Puppet, or Jenkins
