Wiser Academy seeks a dedicated Statistics Teacher with a strong background in statistical theory and probability to join our educational team. The ideal candidate has at least two to three years of teaching experience in Statistics and possesses relevant educational qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. This role involves delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and effectively managing classroom activities. The teacher should demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to engage students and support their development in intermediate and advanced levels of statistical studies.
As a Statistics Teacher, you are responsible for planning lessons that align with curriculum standards and utilize modern teaching methods and digital tools to enhance student understanding. You will focus on nurturing academic excellence and passion for the subject while attending to the individual learning needs of students. Although this position does not require managing a team, strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success are essential to thrive in this role at Wiser Academy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver structured lesson plans covering statistical theory, probability, and related mathematical concepts tailored to intermediate/A-Level/FSC students.
- Create a positive and productive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Employ modern teaching methods and digital tools to facilitate understanding and engagement with complex statistical topics.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and tests, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently, maintaining discipline and a focused learning atmosphere.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and address individual student needs.
- Collaborate with academic staff to align teaching materials and curriculum standards with institutional goals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in Statistics education and incorporate innovative practices into teaching.
- Encourage and support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through practical examples and real-world applications.
