Purpose Primary responsibility of this position is to provide assistance on implementation and support of ICT solution to the teachers. ICT Support Associates will closely work with Project Staff and Regional IT Manager to implement tablet based ICT solution and delivery of content to the end users (SSA’s and teachers).
Description of Activities/Work Performed by Consultant (IT Support Assistant)
a. Services to be Provided Generally At the direction of the World learning or her designee, Consultant shall provide services to IT department,
b. Activities to be Supported - Inventory of the Tablets - Data Transfer to Tablets and SD Cards. - Change of Chinese Language to English Language - Branding and Tagging of Tablets - Supporting IT department for day to day Tablets related Activities. c. Progress Reporting and Communications - Consultant shall provide electronic/hard copies, monthly reports in a form and with contents provided by World Learning. The reports shall track each assignment separately and identify delays, challenges and completed milestones for each assignment, and shall identify any problems or concerns consultant believes should be documented. - Consultant shall provide a report outlining key activities and tasks performed by the consultant and days of work associated to complete the tasks on the timesheet. Days of work will be tracked at a Time Sheet. - World Learning will endeavor to provide consultant prior notice (e.g., at the beginning of the Month, beginning of a specific activity or task, etc.) and the level of detail required. - Additional reports shall be provided by Consultant as requested by World Learning from time to time. - All Reports shall be submitted to IT Officer with time sheet.
d. Deliverables Delivery of the following deliverables shall be according to the Pakistan Reading Project Work Plan mutually agreed upon by consultant and World Learning, and may change as directed or agreed to by World Learning from time to time. June 2018 Activities Days 1- Tablets Sorting Tagging 5 2- Data Update to 666 Tablets 15 3- Inventory Sheet update and adding with the previous sheet 4 July 2018 Activities Days 4- Issuance of tablets to C3 6 5- Travelling from home district to training locations in another district 6 6- Supporting IT Officer for face to face training of SSA’s on Tablets 6 7- Inventory Documentation
e. Performance Criteria and Final Acceptance - Deliverables must be delivered timely, comprehensively and professionally. - The IT Officer shall be responsible for reviewing Inventory Sheet and Reports. .
f. Non-Performance and Rejection: Consultant shall be excused for a failure or delay in performance of obligations under this SOW to extent non-performance is caused by act or omission of World learning, so long as Consultant promptly provides written notice to World Learning of any expected failure or delay and uses all reasonable efforts to avoid and minimize the impact of any such failure or delay.
g. Labilities.
a. Consultant shall be engaged full-time during the SOW Term, beginning on the SOW effective date for the purposes of this SOW.
b. Consultant payment shall be calculated on daily basis at the rate of (3000 PKR) per day. In case of his/her unavailability during the working days the daily amount will be deducted accordingly.
c. In case of consultant engagements for outside of designated location, consultant shall be paid according to World Learning travel policy and World Learning will make sure all logistical arrangements for the consultant including transportation and lodging during the period.
d. For the in-station (within district) activities, consultant will make logistical arrangements (transportation etc.) at his own and World Learning will not reimburse any associated cost for the activities performed under the SOW.
e. World Learning will provide space (workstation), internet, Netbook and associated office appliances for the reporting and access to M&E IS within WL premises. In case of his/her personal arrangements WL will not reimburse any associated cost incurring for the said facilities.
