We are seeking an experienced Front End / JavaScript Pro developer (3+ years experience) responsible for the development and maintenance of a high-quality web application for an Australian Real Estate Agency. Therefore your primary focus will be development of Front End / JavaScript applications. We are looking for a person who is passionate about digital, strong analytical skills, great memory, has an inner drive to deliver high quality code, desires a role that has autonomy, and the opportunity to grow your career. We will require that you have a test application to prove your skills and to do some live coding before you are awarded the job.
Proven Experience
- 3 -5 years experience minimum building successful web applications with HTML, CSS (preprocessors like Sass and Less ) , Javascript, (AJAX) and Bootstrap 3 and 4
- Build Pixel Perfect User interfaces
- Experience using mobile-first RWD techniques and patterns
- Understanding of app / browser performance and techniques
- Track record of developing and leveraging existing reusable front-end patterns and components
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN / Bit
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Amazon, Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)
- Designed and built modules and applications using JavaScript
Javascript Experience
- Knowledge of modern JS frameworks, especially jQuery
- Ability to integrate Restful APIs using Javascript jQuery
- Proficient understanding of JavaScript framework: AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, D3 Js
- Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
Work Experience
- Must have experience of tools such as Gulp or Grunt and Photoshop is a plus
- Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders such as Require.js and AMD
- Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functioning features
- Understand user experience and maintain a high-quality experience when developing interfaces
- Build new products and features through rapid build/measure/learn iterations.
- Comfortable of working with static code analysis and performance tuning tools
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around said issues
- Work collaboratively with Designers, Peer Developers, Architects, and Product Managers on high impact projects
