Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and execute test automation scripts for both web and desktop application.
- Design and create test scripts using programming language to address areas such as database impacts and regression testing scenarios.
- Bug logging, prioritizing and bug tracking.
- Testing software in a cross-platform environment. Must have understanding about the difference in performing desktop application testing and web application testing.
- Perform back end testing on SQL to validate incoming data in the application through automated test scripts.
Qualification and Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in SQA (Software Quality Assurance) with exposure to the full product development cycle from requirements to post-release.
- Experience in testing web-based and desktop enterprise applications.
- Experience working in agile environment.
- Knowledge of database theory and implementation with MS SQL Server experience and test data preparation using database.
- Experience with agile development practices.
- Self-driven and ability to work independently and interact with project teams.
- Strong team player and willing to pitch in and contribute to manual test efforts when needed.
Skills (For QA Part):
- C#/.NET
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong database and charting libraries concepts
- Strong mathematics and statistics skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Skills (For Data Science Part):
- Statistical programming language, like R or Python, and a database querying language like SQL.
- Should be familiar with statistical tests, distributions, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
- Things like k-nearest neighbours, random forests, ensemble methods, and more.
- Knowledge of some basic multi variable calculus or linear algebra.
- Must be familiar with data visualization tools like matplotlib, ggplot, or d3.js. Power BI or Tableau.
- Must have software engineering background.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science
- BS or MS in Data Science would be a plus
