Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.
General Managers are expected to create, keep and maintain a budget, as well as make projections based on previous expenditures. You will need to be confident in using math skills to make sure you know where your company's money is going.
Increase management’s effectiveness through active listening with both superiors and subordinates as well as strong written communication skills.
Oversee day-to-day business operations.
Provide leadership at all levels of the organization.
Communicate and embody the company vision and value.
